7 tips for effective listening: productive listening does not occur naturally.

The person should be skilled at writing, speaking and listening effectively. According to a recent study by the Harvard Business Review, people think the voice mail they send is more important than the voice mail they receive. Generally, senders think that their message is more helpful and urgent than do the people who receive it. Here are the seven tips: 1.CONCENTRATE ON WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING, 2. SEND THE NONVERBAL MESSAGE THAT YOU ARE LISTENING, 3. AVOID EARLY EVALUATIONS, 4.AVOID GETTING DEFENSIVE, 5.PRACTICE PARAPHRASING, 6.LISTEN (AND OBSERVE) FOR FEELINGS, and 7. ASK QUESTIONS.

I really like these 7 tips for effective listening. I have the listening problems sometimes people get mad on me because of my poor listening. At my work sometimes I need to ask customer twice what they are saying. People think that I don’t understand English. These seven tips are very helpful to those people who have listening problems.
